About SayNow
Founded in 2005, SayNow set out to build voice-based experiences that are fun and social. Along the way, we reinvented the way phone calls are made today. Voice is engaging, authentic, and an emotional form of communication, yet is largely ignored on social media and smartphone platforms.
With an eye to the future, SayNow built a hosted, standards-based platform and a series of applications, which over 15 million users and thousands of celebrities and brands use today. These include:
- SayNow Phone allows anyone on a social network to talk to their friends for free, on the web, smartphone, or feature phone.
- SayNow Voice enables brands and celebrities to broadcast and receive voice messages as well as chat one-on-one or in groups with their audience. This drives engagement and a new stream of revenue.
- Big Call is the simplest way to create conference calls.
- Chip Chat is a fun, viral game that changes your voice when talking on the phone.
All of these applications are built on top of the SayNow platform, which allows voice messaging, one-on-one conversations, and group calls to be instantly integrated into Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Android, or iPhone applications. By releasing our platform to external developers, 3rd party applications can integrate voice and create new, engaging experiences without writing complex telephony code.
SayNow is located in Palo Alto, with offices in New York and Los Angeles. It is venture backed by Shasta Ventures, Tugboat Ventures, and Altos Ventures.
